I'm just sad that George gave up his life and obligations to his other children and grandchildren, so he could be with Emily.
I don't completely agree with you. It's not like if Lucius hadn't killed him, he would have offed himself just to be with her. He ran in front of the killing curse to save his daughter. If he hadn't ran if front of it, Ruthie would have died, I can guarantee you that.

I'm anxious to see how you end this. I can always hope for George to wake up from some kind of sleep he was in and dreaming all of it.
Umm, yeah, sorry to disappoint, but that theory is a no...
Alrighty, so this is the very last post. I hope you enjoy.
“Are we late for the party?” someone asked in amusement from behind them. George turned around quickly, his eyes raking over the small group of people.
“Remus?” he asked incredulously. Remus grinned at him as Tonks peered around his shoulder.
“Long time, no see, son,” Remus said as he gave George a hug. Emily grinned as George was passed from Remus to Tonks, Sirius, Amelia, James, and Lily.
Emily pulled him back to her so that she could mold into his side, her body fitting perfectly against his.
“So, we’re dead… But living…up here? How does that work? Do we age? Or stay frozen at the current age? How come we’re back at eighteen? Do we sleep? Where do we sleep if we do? Why Hogwarts? Can we go to other places, like the Joke Shop and home? Can we see others, like Moody? How does this work?” George asked question after question as he glanced around at them all, his eyes falling and staying on Emily.
“All in good time, love,” she whispered in his ear, her teeth lingering on his ear lobe. It was then that he realized he no longer had a hole in the side of his head. He groped the side of his head for a moment before grinning down at her. He kissed Emily’s lips slowly as his fingers dug into her back.
Emily responded with as much passion as him, longing for his touch everywhere. Everyone around them started coughing, Fred sniggering.
“That’s no way to formerly meet your Mother-in-Law, George,” Fred snickered. George immediately stopped, his ears flaming a brilliant red. Emily kissed his cheek, refusing to let go of him quite yet. Her arms stayed around his waist, one going as far as to rest in his back pocket. He looked at the ground, embarrassed. He wasn’t really sure what had come over him; one minute he was trying to wrap his head around everything and the answers he wanted, the next moment she was biting his ear and he wanted her to be biting him everywhere.
Sirius stepped forward, coughing slightly and George looked up reluctantly, but Sirius was just grinning at him.
“So, I guess it’s time you meet my wife,” Sirius murmured as a petite woman with hair as red as Emily’s stepped forward and wound her own arms around Sirius. George glanced down at Emily, who was smiling widely at her parents. She was completely happy; happier than he’d seen her in a while.
“Georgie, I’d like you to meet my Mum,” Emily whispered. Amelia winked at her as she came forward and hugged the both of them. Emily had met her the first time she had arrived here and spent as much time as she could trying to talk to her. But even then, she had been distracted by the fact that George wasn’t waking up. And now as she looked around at them all, she couldn’t be happier. Well, she chided herself into saying that if the rest of her family, including her kids, were here, it would be perfect. But, they would join her later, hopefully much later.
“So, can we watch little Fred and Remus?” Remus asked suddenly after Amelia moved back to Sirius’ side.
“What?” George asked.
“You picked last time, Moony!” James piped up, a small Snitch in his hand.
“I think we should watch James,” he suggested. Lily rolled her eyes.
“I agree with Remus,” Fred said with a grin. Remus pounded his fist with Fred’s.
“I think we should watch Sirius,” Sirius added.
“I was thinking Lily and Rose,” Lily suggested. Emily rolled her eyes as they all requested to watch those that were named after them.
“I think we should let George decide,” Emily said, raising her eyebrows in a dare to contradict her.
“What are you guys talking about?” George finally asked.
“We can ‘watch over’ anyone… Who do you want to see?” she whispered in his ear, pulling him around so that they were facing each other.
“Ruthie, I want to make sure she’s okay,” he whispered. Emily nodded as the Lake shimmered behind them. Everyone gathered around.
“Oh look, they’re all together,” Remus put in, no doubt his eyes on Remus Jr.
“You said time moves differently here, how will we know the time there?” George whispered into Emily’s hair.
“It’s Christmas,” Emily murmured.
“Look, there’s your mum and dad.” George looked to where she pointed and gasped. There were his parents, each with smiles on their faces as the kids opened their Weasley jumpers. George wrapped his arms around Emily’s waist from behind, his chin resting on her shoulder, as they watched their family.
“Is…is Ruthie holding her stomach? Almost as if she were—” Emily murmured.
“Pregnant!” Ruthie squealed at the table. Scorpius wrapped an arm around her shoulder, grinning happily.
Everyone was suddenly shouting their congratulations and moving over to hug the happy couple. They were literally beaming with euphoria as Draco and Astoria hugged them tightly, followed by Narcissa and Molly.
“Your parents would be proud,” Draco murmured in Ruthie’s ear.
“I know they’re watching over you.”
“I know,” Ruthie whispered. She grasped the small necklace around her neck, the heart curling into her skin.
“So, do you two like the new house?” Teddy grinned.
Ruthie blushed slightly, nodding.
“Very much,” she said as she stared lovingly at her husband. He winked at her and she blushed darker.
“Alright, everyone, dig in,” Molly announced as she sat down beside Arthur at the end of the table.
“Everything looks delicious,” Ron said as he stuffed some ham into his mouth. Everyone started laughing. Some things never changed.

Ruthie stared up at the night sky with a tiny smile on her face. She was leaning against the fence in the backyard of the Burrow, her back to the house. Her smile grew as somebody’s arms wound themselves around her waist, their chin sitting on her shoulder.
“Hey,” Scorpius murmured into her hair as he nuzzled her neck with the tip of his nose.
“Mm,” she replied as she took a deep breath, her eyes not straying from the brightest star, one of the same name as her Grandfather and older brother.
“Whatchya thinking about?” he mumbled as he placed a lingering kiss against the soft skin below her ear. She sighed in content, closing her eyes as she memorized this moment with her husband.
“Mum and Dad,” she whispered. He nodded lightly before brushing her silky black hair off of her shoulder and kissing the newly exposed, pale flesh.
“They’re looking out for us,” he whispered as a fact, rather than opinion.
“I know,” she breathed back.
She returned her gaze back to the stars as her fingers laced with his around her not quite yet protruding belly.
Star light, star bright, the first star I see tonight; I wish I may, I wish I might, have the wish I wish tonight… I wish that my family stay healthy and happy, and that my parents continue to bless and watch over us. Fin What do you think?
