"I'm not sure how exactly to word this, but my brother Henry, the Ravenclaw who graduated last term; he's a very...accomplished Legimilens. That basically means he can read people's mind. Legimilency is another branch of magic, one they don't normally teach here, and one most people never master any part of. Not as if it's necessary such as Charms, though, so that's perfectly all right. Anyway, he's started teaching me somewhat, and every once in a while, he'll sort of..put his own thoughts into my head, and I'm sort of able to do the same, since he'll read my thoughts. He knows how difficult our family situation is for me, and he watches out for me. He's basically my father, even though he's my brother and he's only six years older than I am. So, a lot of the time when I seem spaced out, I'm not daydreaming, I'm talking to my brother. In my head. Sometimes I am just daydreaming, though."
She giggled then looked at Jaina inquisitively.
"Do you understand, somewhat?"

At first Josephina was not sure the girl had fully gotten the activity as she wrote down other attributes about the number seven, but none pertaining to the family name number. "Yes ... desire for knowledge. Very much a Ravenclaw attribute. You love to learn and thrive on facts and theories, but have a thirst for spiritual understanding as well. Very nice."
Looking at the whole class to address for another moment, she smiled. "You're all doing fairly well. Continue to work on your interpretations of your family name numbers for a few more minutes before we move on... Remember that the textbook interpretations are general and it is up to you as arithmancers to apply specific twists to those textbook meanings and make them personalized and unique for you."
Charley smiled at the compliment.
