Right?
"Well I guess we might as well start, as seems like many of you are present. Now I assure while the first part of the lesson might seem dull, it will hopefully get better. So bear with me." She paused letting this sink in for a moment.
"For those of you who have been to my office, you might have seen these photographs I brought with me today. They are indeed, my family. There is a lot of changes happening in the wizarding world, much of your views about the world, your beliefs might be influenced by your family. Your backgrounds. I'm not here to change that, but I am here to remind you to keep an open mind. Remember that while you love your family, they might not always be right. You have to do what is right and develop your own ideas and beliefs.
So before I go further... What is family? Who are they? What does it mean to you as a person? To who you will become?"
"Ellie." She
liked Hadley when liking a professor seemed rare for her these days... Well... she only disliked one, but whatever. She wanted the professors she liked to call her by the name she liked. Not 'Miss Stone' that was far too formal.
...Changes to the wizarding world? Sure, Ellie'd noticed the changes at Hogwarts but, the whole Wizarding world? She was unaware of this. Is this what you get for being cooped up at school? Geeeez.
Hadley wasn't elaborating...and Ellie was curious...so...
"Professor..." Heh. Hiii.
"What changes?" DO tell. Cuz apparently she was sheltered.
Family.
"A family is people. And love. And there's all different sizes and kinds." But hers is just right for her. Yeah.
