Rowan smiled as Panda moved from her lap and jumped up into Emily's. "It seems that she has decided to help fill in for Pablo while he's away. It's not the same, but she's trying." She was always surprised at how her cat seemed to understand what people were saying. "Yes, my sister Jamie is a first year Slytherin. Her family adopted me at the beginning of this term. I'm still having trouble believing that I have a real family again."
"Oh thats lovely, I'm sure you'll adjust to it soon enough." she said smiling, it was good to know that Rowan wasn't on her own in the world, though Emily understood it wasn't the same as having her own parents.
As Pandora leapt up onto Emily's lap she grinned.
"Hey gorgeous", she said stroking it's silky soft fur. Cats were lovely creatures, one of Emily's favourites.
