He really did like her. He was willing to fall his butt a few times if it meant they would have fun together.
Cass rushed to the part of the lake that the groundskeeper had taken to freezing and cordoning off as a skating rink.
She was late, she was never late! But she had been fussing over
what to wear! Not that he would notice, but still, she takes pride in looking good. As Lyra would wisely say,
'Why look bad, when you can look good?'
When she finally reached it, she took a deep breath and looked around, instantly spotting him among the other people. She tapped him on the shoulder lightly and said with a smile
"Hey, ready to go skating?" She was pretty sure her faced was flushed from all the running, but she didn't care, she had been looking forward to this.
