The Evidence and Pensieve rooms are only accessible by employees of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement, and even then, permission must be sought and granted before an employee makes use of these facilities. The evidence room is a large room with plenty of shelves, on which evidence is securely stored, charmed for safe keeping, and labelled according to the date and divisions involved in the associated investigation. There are two registers on the wall, one for recording your visit and one for recording any evidence you handle or remove from the room.

Just inside the door is access to the Pensieve room, which as you might guess is a room where memories about cases can be reviewed.

Members of the general public are not permitted in these rooms.
