Things were definitely speeding up and the world getting a lot more confusing. Arya was what remained constant and so she was what he focussed on. With all the focus on not falling, he didn't really notice the blush on her cheeks. Even if he had, he probably would have attributed it to the cold. How much faster were they going to go?
