Whenever Sabel spun, it was usually followed by a rather hard connection with some horizontal surface charged with the magnetism of gravity. So there wasn't much question as to why he proceeded with one eye pressed closed and the other cracked open with the look of one preparing when to fall.

There was slight wonderment when they didn't, and a small 'ooh' left his lips as he blinked down at their feet.
