But he made his way to one of the chairs, rather slowly by the way, and then laid eyes on the crup. Smile. Whatever the reason, Bowie gave him the strength to say whatever it was he was going to say. He ventured a small smile at the woman. Man, if Ellie saw him right now she'll probably think he was a traitor.

Good news was...he remembered what he wanted to say. "I'm sure my visit may come as a surprise to you, Professor Bishop," he started to say, all confidence back in no time, "But I needed to apologize for my behavior when we first met," he said, with one firm nod. Though, in reality, she'd seen the woman before, he was sure of that, but couldn't remember where. "It wasn't fair," not to her, nor to Ellie, because he'd brought the Ravenclaw to the table, "And I hope you understand that I never intended to disrespect you or anything," it was, however, a totally different story with Saylen, "I'm not making any excuses here, but, yeah, I suppose you know Nolan was one of my favorite Professors and his leave wasn't...handled very well." No excuses. And pretty Healer Moretti took care of making sure he went back on the right path.

However unintentional that encounter may have been, he hated to see Ellie so hurt, maybe his own feelings about those Professors leaving Hogwarts were somewhat enhanced by what the redhead was feeling as well.

He was NOT saying that.

The boy couldn't help to eye the bookshelf, after all, he loved books. "Also for my discussion with Mr. Morgan in class, that was...out of line." Kind of, Jake annoyed him first.
Eyes on Bowie as the crup turned to trot back towards the desk area, Renée heard the sigh from behind her but chose to let Treyen have that little moment without question. Especially after she'd already gone through Ellie and her demands that everything inside the office be returned to the way they'd been when Professor Reynolds had been teaching. Nolan, she reminded herself, still finding the irony in the fact her predecessor was actually known by herself. And not just by way of keeping herself aware of things with Hogwarts. It always helped knowing what had happened before, who had taught, that sort of thing. Different teaching styles could be adapted or fought against, and she preferred doing neither. The fact she'd known their beloved professor was still rather ironic though.

Stopping as she arrived back at her desk, she turned back in time to see the Hufflepuff smile. At Bowie, but she knew her pets had their own ability to charm people. The crup for sure, as Anastasia tended to just send people into awe. It seemed Treyen hadn't noticed her yet, however, so that was neither here nor there, and Renée returned his smile as it was turned to herself. However tentatively it had been given, it was a start.

Then it seemed he'd gotten himself to speak, and she leaned against her desk silently, letting him get it all out before interrupting. It seemed the better decision, especially since things were so unsure. But as he continued, a faint note of surprise crossed her features at what he was saying. Perhaps this wouldn't be as difficult as she'd expected, although she had a feeling something had triggered his revelations. As he paused, she decided to speak. "Honestly, yes. I can't deny I was surprised by your visit. But since you did feel the need to come and explain a little, I forgive you. It wasn't fair, but unfortunately, sometimes things happen. People need to move on, and disappointment when they actually do can be hard," she replied. "Thank you for the apology, and know that I completely understand. I told Ellie much the same months ago when she felt the need to, well, explain." Or tell her in no uncertain terms that the Ravenclaw didn't want her here and would do anything to get her to leave. She didn't feel Treyen needed to know all that, if his friend hadn't told him already.

She smiled again as it seemed he'd zeroed in on her bookshelves, but nodded as he spoke again. "It was, but I assure you it was nothing new to me. We got through it fine, and I'm sure only some of it was because of the issues you had with myself," she responded, letting him continue to eye her books. "You're welcome to get a closer look. It's mostly divination books, but there's a few others as well." She was unable to not have her own work close by, out of habit. Not too many people made the connection, even now, but it was her little concession to vanity. Or, one of them.
