Jake WAS a little confused, so he stepped over to Neptune. Had that Trixie kid mentioned winners? The only thing he was used to winning was obscure and humorous yearbook superlatives.
"What happened?" he said to Neptune as he reached her, moving his top hat so it rested more on the back of his head. Was she... bowing?

"Jacob. You're the KING." THE king. Kings had to keep UP with such things. Neptune prodded him, then bowed her head again. He should DO what she was doing. Then possibly bow to her, because... well... she was the Queen.
"We won! And we didn't even try..." which was peculiar. If Neptune HAD been trying, she'd have done things different. There was possibly a lesson in there, but she was a little busy being Queen to pull it out. |
