"She's... she's a Veela?" Well the last name made sense, along with the fact that she was absolutely gorgeous, but he still didn't understand why she hadn't told him. Maybe she'd just assumed he's put it together. The pieces did fit, and it was not difficult to see. "Don't say that, you're very pretty, but I think it would drive me crazy if boys were drooling all over my girlfriend." And now he knew how suckish jealousy was.

He nodded sadly. "Those kinds of things are always hard. But if you get it over with soon, the less heart break there will be. I'm sorry it didn't work out, but whatever he's dealing with, you can still be there to support him as a friend."

Woah. Chris nearly did a double take when she told him the age of her new crush. He was suspecting a third or fourth year, but that was a lot of years. It was probaboy just a little school girl crush, but he would support the little ginger anyway. "Hey, lots of people have parents with a huge age difference and they're just fine!" His parents were six years apart and they were just fine. It was his mum's relationship with her children that was not.
