Sirius couldn't help chuckling at her words, his usual barking laugh quite present in his amusement. "Yeah he was acting a bit odd lately..always breaking off...or being cut off by a certain somebody," he commented, adding a smirk at the last bit of his statement. Her own actions making a bit more sense now apparently having been just as nervous as he about sharing her feelings.
"Really..." he mused moving himself closer to her on the couch so his arm on the back was behind Gin. "and to think I could actually top a prank in your mind," he added smiling down at her. The prankster couldn't admit it aloud himself but there would be more pranks with Snape...this moment was a first not to be missed and he would have hurt himself if something had been seriously wrong and he had ignored her exit.
