“Rose!” She heard as she left the classroom. “Weasley!” What could he possibly want with her? Pretending not to hear him didn’t seem to be working.
She turned around sharply. “What?”
He looked taken aback. “I just thought—as we’re both the top of the class—you’d want to study together.” She didn’t respond. She just turned around and kept walking. “Look, I know our parents had problems,” she turned around again, wondering where this was heading. “But that’s in the past. We're not our parents, and--”
“The past, you say?” she asked. “Then stop acting like your father.”
