Hello ~Otty. Great chapter ~Otty. I think I've told you I'm afraid of Vampires, and I'm soooooooooooo afraid for Ottery to be there and so close! He is so very brave, but yes, I remember his attitude on such things as bravery and cowardly actions. He simply has a job that must be done, and so does it with the mind set the job will get done or he'll die trying. No time for bravery, bravado, or bone chilling fear. When it comes to passing the buck, it stops with him. Not because it's passed to him from someone less brave or less able to defeat the evil, but because he grabs the buck before it's passed to him. He's such a hero and doesn't even really know it.
It was all wonderfully written, and I was afraid and scarcely breathing the entire time I read it. (once when it was posted, and again just now)

I guess the old saying needs to be adjusted a bit for him doesn't it. "If you can't beat 'em, join 'em." Of course the vampire won't give up and join Ottery, so sense he can't beat him, he wants to make Ottery join him. So very funny that he would assume Ottery would lie quietly on his death bed and except the fate the evil Vampire has in mind for him.
The last line is just to sad to think about.
