Well wait no longer new chapter

Chapter 5
Nightmare

At the end of the feast we made our way to the depths of Hogwarts. It was strange to think that my common room for the next seven years was going to be underneath the lake. However at the same time I found the information pretty awesome. I walked up to the girls dormitory and flopped on my bed, well assuming it was mine was wrong becasue the next second I was on floor inhaling the dusty bunnies underneath th bed. I looked up and fel my patience thinging rapidly.

"Sorry but on the best for royalty," Alyson said spreading out on the bed. "You can have the one over by the window. It's too drafty and I might catch a cold. Now we wouldn't want me to get sick would we?"

I know I've said it a thousand times before but this time I really was done being tormented by her. So I stood up and shoved her off the bed and onto the floor. She stood back up and smacked me hard and fast. I know it's ridiculous but I couldn't take it anymore. I might not know any spells or even simple charms but it didn't stop me from grabbing my wand.

"Hair. Hair. Hair." I kept saying hair and just staring at her hoping and praying that those blond locks of hers would fall off. Something started to happen though. Her hair was being lifted asif by an imaginary force she started screaming.

"Stop it you freak of nature your hurting me." Her hair was pulled tighter and she kept screaming. "HELP!"

A teacher bursted in and I dropped my wand. "She started it I swear." Alyson's hair flopped down and she stopped screaming and started sobbiong. I didn't know what had happened but instantly I regretted it.

"Come with me Miss. James." I followed the Professor out of the dorm, through the common room, and into a classroom that wasw filled with some of the weridest things in glass containers. "I am very dissapointed to say the least."

"But I-"

"To attack a student over such a petty and trivial thing. Even worse, you attacked the Ministers' daughter." She just glared at me. I felt horrible enough but the fact that she was standing up for that blood sucking leech was just the cherry on to of the Alyson wins sundae. "Ten points from Slytherin. I hate to punish my own students but your behavior is unacceptable." I just nodded. What was I to say? She was authority. I couldn't snap at her and allow something worse happen to me. Expulsion was out of the question. "You are free to go back."

I left the classroom but under no circumstances did I go back to that nightmare. I found myself wandering the halls of the school and watching as the portraits slept. As fun as the dungeons sound, I climbed a stairwell and made my way to about the fourth floor. You would think the Professors would potral the halls better, but if they were I didn't see them. I looked out the window and saw the moon shining up above. Tears leaked down my cheeks and I wanted to scream. This day couldn't get any worse, not from my perspective anyway.

"You know if your not too careful you can get caught," a voice said. I turned and there stood Chris in all his glory.

"You're one to talk," I said smiling and wiping the tears. "What are you doing wandering across the corridors this late at night anyway?"

"Well, I just wanted to explore the school. What's your excuse?"

"A nightmare by the name of Alyson." I felt the anger flare up again. "I don't see why everybody treats her like royalty?She doesn't deserve it."

He laughed and I let it wrap around me and I tried to absorb it so that I'd calm down but it seemed impossible. "She is a pain but you'll learn to ignore her."

"Do you know her personally?"

"She's my cousin twice removed." He shrugged. "I never see her anyway so I guess no I don't know her personally. She's related by blood so I know her but not really. She doesn't even consider me to be her cousin because I'm half-blood."

I leaned against the window and looked out and noticed that from here I had a perfect view of the lake I read about. All of this was just to much to take in and I hoped to merlin that it was all a nightmare. I began to cry again and realized that I had been crying a lot on my first day away from home. I felt Chris move beside me and I looked up at him. "I can't stand this nightmare."

"Would you like a hug?" He opened his arms and despite only knowing him a day I stepped in the embrace that was offered and let the sobs shake my body and the tears fall down my cheeks. That was when my luck ended when it came to not being caught.

"What do you two think your doing?" A males voice rung out. I looked at him and his face had anger written all over it but when he saw my tears his expression softened and he looked up and down the corridor. "Come on follow me you two. Let's go to my office and talk." I followed him and hoped that this was not another part of a nightmare.
