Frowning with a slight bit of amusement, he reached one hand down and planted it on the pony's forehead, pushing it back. "I thought you guys like sugar cubes." It was a fair question, but Kellen thought he could manage. Taking a lot more care than the average pony would, and only using his lips instead of his teeth, he snatched up the marshmallow and set to chewing it. The consistency wasn't nearly as pleasant as when he was human, and while he swallowed it he decided he'd rather leave the rest of the marshmallows in Sabel's pocket. Why his friend was carrying them around in the first place, he had no idea.

Only a small twitch of one ear betrayed his intention as he snaked his neck out and snatched the branch from Sabel's hand, retreating a few feet back into the paddock and tossing his head.
