"De rien." The standard response, for once. He and Renée hardly ever stuck to those, but then, perhaps that was why they got along so well.

"I haven't said it yet," Jared pointed out teasingly as she thanked him once more. She did look it, however, and he expected she already knew that. Couldn't resist the teasing? "You know, that seems like a mutual problem." He smiled, then said more seriously - though still lightly,

"How have your holidays been so far?"

Not much left of them, but he could appreciate the chink in the routine Hogwarts had set.
