Lily thanked James as he handed her his cloak - immediately pulling it around her not exactly because it would protect her from the rain. More because the smell of it was exactly like James. It was a soft, kind smell, a smell that reminded her slightly of her amortetia scent when Slughorn had done the lesson on love potions. She ran over to where James was and couldn't help laughing "Don't hurt yourself" she yelled over in a playful voice as she ran closer. "Plus side of the rain means we can get hot chocolate from the kitchens." Lily laughed - no one in the school knew she was familiar with the kitchens. She was, she would head down on cold nights and grab a hot chocolate - the house elves sometimes got mad because they wanted to brew it and she woudn't let them do it alone. She would make them some as well which they never seemed to drink.
Still there was a slight hiccup in her plan of running back to the school and that was she was clumsy. As she ran her foot began to slip in the now sloshy grass - her knee wavering slightly.
Then it happened she tripped - only inches from James at the time which of course made it perilous for him as well. She landed face - to - face with him as he had been running backwards. Something he was good at, and her not entirely. All she could do was laugh. "I'm sorry James didn't mean to well ruin your uniform." She appologized still laughing and smiling as she did so - because more nerves than anything else.
