With Jeremy ready to go, Kimber gave Chad a gracious smile and stepped out onto the ice herself. Under her feet the ice was slick and solid, almost crystal clear and gleaming brightly. "This is fantastic, Chad," she said, smiling at him over her shoulder.
She skated out just a few feet and took Jeremy's hand, sidling up beside him all nice and close. "I'm ready," she purred, squeezing his hand as best she could through her gloves.
Moving backwards slightly with tentative steps, Jeremy tried to figure out whether he was still able to do this. He had been quite good at this once, really good actually but he hadn't done it since moving to Los Angeles. Los Angeles wasn't exactly too popular for going ice skating after all. It seemed to work though. Yes, it did.
Phew.
While he had put his gloves back on, Kimber had joined him on the ice, leaving Chad standing a few meters away. Wasn't he going to ice skate too? All thoughts of Chad went poof immediately however, when Kimber took his hand, pressing herself against his side.
"Good, now watch out for...the dangerous kids." He teased with a grin before starting to move forward on the ice without another backward glance.
