Stopping the Gryffindor prefect turned around on the third floor landing and watched the brown haired snake prefect with his hair in a mess and his cheeks flushing red speeding up the staircase.
Sophie also noticed the tracksuit. Evan had been training on the grounds it seemed the smell off sweat didn’t reach her nose since he didn’t stop directly in front of her. "Hey Evan! What are you doing here?" she said with a cheerier tone that how she felt which was very tired. Luckily she had no patrol duties that night. She was glad to see him really she was just tired since she hadn’t gotten much sleep the previous nights.
Fiddling with her prefect badge she said slowly. "I’m good just extremely tired. I haven’t gotten much sleep lately. How about you? Have you started to train?" The last was a reference to Evan’s current attire. Nodding she said "Yes, I’m going to the lion’s den. I want to leave my backpack in my dorm." Flashing a bright but tired smile at her, Evan said in reply to her question "Just going to Room of Requirement." He didn't tell what he was going to do there though... he didn't like many people to know he was practising football all by himself there, with the hope it'd be adequate to get back into Liverpool Academy next year, once he was 17 and be free to do whatever he wished. No, he had always believed the more people knew of one's dreams, the less chance they would become true. Running another hand through his hair, he decided to change the subject to her, and of course, to the tea party. "Yeah, I do train a bit to keep my stamina," he revealed that much. But no more of saying he was training intensively to at least keep his talent. Frowning slightly, he asked "Why not sleeping enough? Is something bothering you?" He knew it, it was Sebby. That boy had broken her heart, and now she was uncomfortable withh it. He didn't even want to think what the boy had done to her. But he'd get to the dork... oh yes he would.
Biting his lower lip, he looked away for a moment to find the right words before turning back to her. "Before you go up," he started slowly, as he made the eye contact again. "I was wondering if... you know... if you would like to go to the tea party... with me?" He gave a small smile as he shifted his weight to his other leg. Well, at least he could speak properly and not blush this time. A huge progress on asking girls out. |
