No parents to frown at until they popped him somewhere warm and sunny...
Sigh.
He would have completely passed by the Care of Magical Creatures' professors entire set-up, having no interest in animals that particular day, had it not been for the rather loud shriek. One eyebrow quirking in surprise, he paused, eyes lingering on the fenced-in area for only a moment before he changed course and moved toward it.
It was a girl, that much he'd known before seeing her. Apparently after the chickens, which they weren't too pleased about. Leaning on the fence, Harker watched her, expression laced with amusement.
Most girls he'd encountered over the years would have given up after getting bitten or pecked...
"Might be easier on your hands if you set down whatever you're trying to feed them... let them get at it themselves," he called toward her. Though it would definitely be interesting if she kept going at it her own way. "Some birds can bite pretty damn hard."
As much as Destiny wanted to kick that chicken, she just could not bring her foot up to do so. She figured the poor thing was just so hungry that it would eat whatever was placed in front of it. That whatever being her finger. Besides, she was sure Professor Saylen was around there somewhere, spying on all the students that went to visit the animals. Wouldn't want to be caught kicking a chicken.
Shaking the finger that was bitten, she was just about to bend down to try and feed the
demon chicken again when a voice made her stop. Merlin! She was caught being bit! Bit by her own kind!
Scoffing at the voice's idea, she slowly turned and realizing that it was someone she didn't know, she sighed a breath of relief. He didn't know she was a chicken, so it was all good. For now.
"Yeah, well, I wasn't trying to feed them all. Just the one. And if I put the wheat down, they will all try to eat it." And possibly attack the food deprived chicken..which didn't seem like that bad of an idea.
Some birds can bite pretty damn hard?
"I wish you would have told me that five minutes earlier."
Pffft.
