It really was time to do some exercise.
At the sound of her voice, he turned to face Kimber, feeling a grin tug at the corner of his lips. Her aversion to children at some points was just...amusing. "Lighten up, we don't have to talk to them or anything." Okay, probably that was unavoidable but no need to point that out now. "They're just...there." Letting go of her hand briefly, Jeremy made a vague hand gesture at the students before them, to emphasize how, well, there they were. Erm.
Kimber smiled despite herself and gave Jeremy an
almost playful roll of her eyes.
"Yeah, yeah, play nice," she said, sitting down on a nearby rock. He had to be the only living soul on the planet that could make her smile in the presence of ALL these sticky-handed, clumsy children.
She wasted no time at all pulling off her boots and exchanging them for her skates but she noticed the icy chill in the air was worse with nothing but woolen socks to cover her feet. When her ice skates were finally all laced up, she stood up slowly, ensuring her balance, and held her hand back out to him.
"Are you ready to watch them knock me down?" she asked. If only she were kidding.
