Because well he wasn't going to let her fall. He on the other hand, had no idea whether he was going to fall over or not. It would be pretty funny to have a fall, as long as he didn't hurt himself, because that would be dreadful for his quidditchness.

A swan? He was going to look like a swan. Man. It was good that he was popular because things were not looking so good for him at all. "Sounds good." Because he was sure he'd look more stupid falling over than he would look like as a swan. "Yup. Ready." He grinned, grabbing her hand, and pulled her gently onto the ice.

Now. Just not to fall over.
