Snowball fights in the Grounds were definitely one of her highlights of the year, and she had to make the most of it, for at the end of the year, she would be going home and never come back. Well, that was depressing.
The seventeen year old sat herself down on the couch with a heavy sigh, though a smile still remained on her face. She'd actually had a pretty good day, because of a certain someone. But those thoughts remained firmly implanted in her mind. The fire let off a warm light which instantly warmed up the pale girl who's checks started to glow as the heat hit her. It was so pleasant in here. Sophie headed for the Prefect's lounge to get a few minutes off privacy and time away from the other students. After the emotional talk with Evan the Gryffindor prefect had been glad for the distraction that OWL-studies and prefecting provided. It gave her less time to worry her head over what she felt for her fellow snake prefect and if they could stay as just friends. Winter was reinforcing its grip on Hogwarts and its grounds. The castle grew colder and colder which didn't suit the brunette at all. Sophie had since birth been prone to freeze easily so the warm sweaters and polo necks her mother sent were a life saver. Going around on patrols shivering wasn't good since it only resulted in colds.
The snow would soon come, along with ice on the lake and fun times on the grounds. Maybe she could learn to do a pirouette or take part in a snow ball fight one of these days. Climbing into the prefect lounge Sophie immediatley spotted Trixie, the head girl comfortably seated on one of the couches in front of the big fireplace. So much for privacy and solitude. Smiling brightly she called out "Hey, Trixie! Any sign of snow on the grounds?"
