Emily entered the Transfiguration Practice Room, she wanted to get her homework done so that she could enjoy the rest of her weekend. Emily read the sign.... and re-read it. She pulled out the silver pocket watch she got in class from her pocket.... then looked back up at the sign.
After a moment of deliberating Emily figured it wouldn't matter if she took her own item in to practice on... it was homework after all.

She walked over to one of the plush seats and sat down, sinking into its comfortable cusions. Emily places the pocket watch on the table in front of her and took out her wand. She was confident in her abilities by now, she had successfuly transfigured her watch into a compass three times already so now it was just a matter of making them better.
"Comletia", cited Emily as she concentrated on the design of her compass.
The silver pocket watch was now a shiny brass compass, with very intricate numbering abound the edge of the compass face indicating the bearing degrees. At the base of the compass was the needle which was also shiny and brass. A black and white eight-point star illustrated the centre of the compass.
"Well that's the first time I've managed to change the colour", said Emily as she smiled down at her work.
"Reverto"... her compass returned to being a pocket watch.

Emily concentrated really hard, imagining her compass as she cast the spell.
"Comletia", she said as she performed the spell.
The pocket watch vibrated a little and then transformed.... into a gold rimmed compass. It had an old feel to it, the compass face was browned like old parchment with a gold eight-pointed star in the center. Cursive writing indicated N, E, S, W, as well as providing very detailed but very miniscule numbers(degrees) around the outside.
"Could probably pass as an antique", murmered Emily to herself.

All this concentrating was making her hungry, she considered transfiguring her compass into a peice of toast, but decided it wouldn't be a very good idea. She reverted the compass back into the silver pocket watch and put in back in her pocket along with her wand. "Breakfast time", she said as she left the Transfiguration Practice Room.
