That was probably the craziest thing she had ever heard. 'Sever' was such a creepy and scary movie type of word. Before she knew it, Sierra was stumbling all over the place and using ELLA as support. Grrrr, being tied together was really sucking right now. "Did she sever your feet??!" Merlin's beard. If she did then it sort of defeated the purpose of a three-legged race. It would end up being the two-legged race with Sierra attached to Ella's side.
Oh CRAP. Wasn't she supposed to get something severed too??
Nothing felt wrong with her physically, but she suddenly felt like something had exploded right in front of her. Some giant stink bomb or something. Holding her hands up to block her nose quickly, she accidentally knocked Sierra away from her and they both tumbled to the ground, getting a face full of mud.
"OH!" OH THE SMELL. She knew the smell of grass, mud and possibly crup poop was awful, but THIS took the biscuit. "I feel sick. Sierra, can you smell that?" She had almost forgotten that the girl fell with her. Woooooops.
The stupid music made it all worse too. She felt like a circus freak.
Hearing's Ella's first question caused Sierra's heart to skip a beat, and the first year Slytherin nearly came to a complete halt, once again, to stare down at her feet.
Why was Ella asking if they were severed?! Were they no longer there or something!? "Did she--what?!" Sierra asked, flailing about as she tried to focus on her supposedly missing feet. When her eyes fell upon them, she felt herself breath a sigh of relief as she realized she still had all her normal limbs.
"No, no. My feet are still there. I just...can't--AHHH!" she replied, her voice turning into a slight scream toward the end of that sentence. Sierra felt someone jab her in the side, and then because Ella--whom she was tied to--fell down, Sierra fell down, as well. She winced slightly as her partner got a face full of mud.
Sierra sniffed the air.
"I--I don't really smell anything out of the ordinary. Why? What do you smell?" she asked, her eyebrows wrinkling in confusion.
Had she somehow lost her sense of smell now?! "Come on. Let's try getting up," she said. Using Ella for support, Sierra tried to push herself off the ground.
