"Oh, believe me, age doesn't make a difference. You'll see, age doesn't keep people from doing stupid things, or keep them from getting bad eyesight." And you know what,
"Did you know that Sphinxes were an important part in the Egyptian society?" Hmmmm? Did he?
"In Egypt, there are really big statues of Sphinxes. It's really quite interesting."
Not that she was trying to steer the subject away from the book.
