Hogwarts RPG Name: Amur Neverwinter Fourth Year | ~ Rise and Rise Again, Until Lambs become Lions ~ Quote:

She sighed and finally wrapped her arms around him as a tear snuck it's way from her eye. "Whatever. It doesn't matter. You are leaving and so am I and we really may never see eachother again. And if you feel even an ounce of what I have felt... for her... then I never stood a chance anyway," she said solemnly. "Besides... I am a bit too crazy for someone as grounded as you are. It would never work between us." He honestly didn't know what to say to her. She was bringing up things, feelings that he didn't want to deal with at this time. While she seemed to think he had simply gotten over her, there was still a fraction, the fraction of his heart that she had broken, that held the faint remnants of his feelings for her all those years ago.
And then there was the part of him that was screaming against her words, asking her to stop talking about it. He hated to see her in such distress and then, he hated the topic of him leaving. But she was right about one thing, he was leaving and emotions meant little in the light of that. His voice came tight, not devoid of the pain of his own emotions, but also flat and somewhat dead. "I will not forget you, Lexi, so you can get that fool notion out of your head." His eyes found some pointless spot to stare off at over her shoulder. "And I wouldn't concern yourself over Arya and myself. You are right, I am leaving." So what did it matter? She was a beautiful girl and there would be some guy to sweep her off her feet.
Shaking his head a little, he forced his thoughts away from Arya and himself, knowing it would only hurt Lexi if he started on about that personal pain. "We will see each other again though. Promise."
