He leaned his head to the wall and covered his stomach, just in case of an attack. There was nothing wrong in that, but not in her opinion. Better to get ready for anything.
Marie was confused now.
"So if the work isn't the hard part then what is?" Having to report to Lafay. That had to be the hard part. Reporting anything to that woman would be hard.
"Um yeah, he's treating me okay. He's helping me study for my OWLs." Well that much was true, he did help her study for Runes. She just didn't know if there would be any more study sessions or not.
"I know you didn't ask me here to talk about James though, so what is it you wanted to talk about?" Yep, time to get the subject off her and onto something else.
And there it was, the reason he wanted to talk.
"She's pretty, that's all? Damn it Evan, what did you do?" He better not tell her he kissed that girl... unless he wanted to get punched in the nose. That would be the least she could do for Mina.
