14. Horn Tongue
“Are you sure about this Fred? This might not be such a good idea.”
For some reason, George was actually being the voice of reason on this. He didn’t think that Hagrid would like having a horn instead of a tongue, even if he was into weird stuff like that. George really wasn’t one for messing with Hagrid and Lee didn’t seem too keen on the idea either.
“George is right Fred. Let’s not do this.”
“You guys are total wimps. I’m doing this with or without you.”
With that, Fred trudged towards Hagrid’s hut where he was outside tending to the pumpkins. He had a clear shot and had just pointed his wand at Hagrid. Right as he said the incantation, George pushed him and the spell missed, hitting Buckbeak who was lying down next to the pumpkin.
The hippogriff reared up after being hit by the spell. Hagrid looked utterly perplexed as to why the creature didn’t have a normal tongue anymore. The twins bust out in a fit of laughter.
They might have gotten away with it, if Hagrid didn’t hear them. “To Dumbledore’s office now!” They didn’t complain. Dumbledore always gave the most hilarious punishments.
