Or feed it to the goats." No, don't. She was joking. And then her curiosity came through. "What is this book about?" Hmmm?
Conan watched her in confusion. She was the Creature Teacher wasn't she?
"I was told to come to you." Why would Donovan know everything? She was just a librarian. She was nice though.
She didn't know his name. Well that made sense. Since he was new and never met her.
"Taylor. Conan Taylor." He nodded quickly,
"It is about creatures."
He held the book out to her,
"It's called 'Sphinxes and their mating rituals'." He hoped she would take the evil book from him.
"What's a sphinx? And why do the boy sphinxes want to be so close to the girl sphinxes?" Were they dancing?
