Seeing Ellie, he gave a her a smile and slid into a chair at the closest desk to hers. She'd help him, right?
He scribbled out his name, in a script that might have been legible if he'd taken a bit more time over it. It was smudged in places too. He'd blame it on not being used to a quill, of course, but it was more laziness and a lack of care when it came to anything other than his pets and building things. Who wrote stuff when you could spend hours on end building a den in the woods to defend from the enemy?
He wasn't suited to sitting in lessons, he was sure.
Ellie watched as Spike came in.
Heh, Spike. That had to have been the BEST name, ever.
"Hey there," she greeted as he sat down beside her.
"Looking forward to the lesson?" Since he wasn't in Charms, she supposed this was his first 'magic' lesson. Unless he used magic in potions...Hmm... She wouldn't know. Eh, well. He could correct her if it was necessary.
And Merlin, she hoped he'd left his 'friends' in his dorm.
