Kurumi looked at Adam. "Yes, my first friend and if you think I can go the rest of my life without even a single letter, then you are the one who is absurd." She turned to face him. "I wan't going to say anything, not until the end of school. I just wanted to go on like nothing was wrong, just pretend that things were normal and nothing changed, but, I can't do that. Not with everything else that is going on."

She swallowed and tried to gather her thoughts together. She was still keeping the promise to herself not to cry, but she wasn't sure how much longer that was going to last.

"I don't know what you and Selina discussed in terms of me, and frankly, I don't care. She has known me for maybe a month and doesn't know me. You do," she said keeping her voice as steady as she could. "If she told you to cut me out of your life completly, then she is absurd as well. Cutting people out doesn't make things better, it makes it worse Adam. Trust me, I know. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't think about Hitomi. I still write her, you know. I never get a response, but I do. If you can honestly say you want me gone, even as a friend, then so be it and be done with it now. Don't make this like pulling off a band aid slowly. Do it quickly. Will I ever be able to let you go, no. Not even if you cut me out. Will I move on, yes. Will I forget and let you, certainly not."
