She smiled and wiped her eyes. She had been crying with laughter. Why had she found that so funny?

Beth frowned as she watched Emily. Well, she hadn't come here to be laughed at, angrily she stood up and took a step back. "Excuse me," she snapped, trying to control her anger, "But I didn't come here to laughed at by you." People were looking now but Beth didn't care anymore. She stood there waiting for a reply, an apology . . .anything.
