Sophia nodded.
"I have met a bunch of new people this year." she said, smirking. She sighed and thought of the best way to tell this story without sound melodramatic.
"Well, long story short, I had a friend in June who was diagnosed with brain cancer." she said, sighing.
"She just passed away." she said, solomly. She could feel tears starting to well up in her eyes, but she blinked them away.
"So that's the story." she said, smiling weakly.
