As for the falsetto aspect, that is not strictly necessary but some find that it helps and many muggles who attempt the magic do it. You can combine different runes into one galdr to suit your purposes but for today we will stick with the one galdr per rune, much like the example given a moment ago with:

"fehu fehu fehu
f f f f f f f f f
fu fa fi fe fo
of ef if af uf
f f f f f f f f f
."

He fell quiet and looked around the room, eyeing the fehu runes that were carved around the place, some of them appeared to glow slightly but that was to be expected as many of them he'd carved himself.

"Can anyone think of how a basic galdr like this is similar to the Intaglio spell method that we practiced with our wands?"
What? A what? Galdr?! That was the strangest word in this class so far. Louisa slackened back a bit while students answered that and she was yet more surprised of what that word meant after a while. A chant? Hmm. Like an odd way of saying words- that's what it sounded to hear when the Professor demonstrated it. She was so not going to try that, by the way. No way. It sounded like conjuring spirits from underground or something -__-

"They both do the same effect…" She said coolly raising her hand. "… and requiring the person to repeat words over and over again." Here, that was a simple question. Now how about we grab a knife and start carving on the piece of wood forgetting all about chanting some rhymy words? Hmm?
