Huh. So this was the great and famous Whomping Willow. Dallin studied it from a couple hundred feet away, slowly sitting down on the sloping lawn toward the tree. Alice figured the Whomping Willow was a good spot to clear her mind...sure she couldn't get too close to the tree for fear it would hit her and send her to the hospital wing, but as long as she kept her distance she was fine.
She was on her way down the somewhat steep slope when she spotted a boy that she wasn't sure she'd ever seen before. Not sure whether or not he wanted to be left alone, Alice took a seat on the slope far enough away that she wasn't invading his personal space, but close enough that if he did want to chat she could talk to him. He looked a little older than her....Alice wondered where he was from.
