She then smiled at her again before turning and seeing her best friend Selina. Violet quickly walked over to her taking a seat right next to her, pulling out her book, ink, and pen. "Good morning Selina! How excited are you about Divination?" She giggled as she played with her a hair a little bit. Still in her seat for the time being, Renée's expression turned curious as it seemed the next student to enter felt the need to approach her directly instead of a simple greeting while finding a seat. Hmm, she thought, before smiling at the Hufflepuff. "Good morning. It's nice to meet you Violet, and I'm glad to hear you're excited," she replied, glancing at the desks as if to silently nudge her to take a seat. Introductions could take place any time, but right before class wasn't necessarily right. But it seemed Miss Le Veela took the hint, as she giggled her way into a seat next to another girl, and Renée went back to any new entrances. Quote:

"Good day Professor" she said polietly, taking a seat at the back of the room. She may not like the subject but she still wanted to make a good impression. Renée nodded at the two girls who entered after Miss Le Veela, smiling at each of them. Even as one chose to approach her desk first like the Hufflepuff had. Maybe it was a respect thing, like being called ma'am. "Good morning," she said to both of them, momentarily watching as they settled into their chairs before returning her attention to the room as a whole. At least most students seemed to have politeness down, and even some excitement. She didn't know if it was sepcifically for the subject, but she coudl work with it either way. Quote:

He was somewhat hesitant to enter further into the room which was, quite an addition to his already mountain-high hesitation of doing so, already full of students. It wasn't like he had actually done something wrong, for as far he knew, the adult at Jake's party was the new Divination professor. But he just so wondered if he had made a bad impression to the new professor when he met her at the party. Guh, he was being silly. Definitely. 'Are you nervous?' or 'You're nervous' couldn't exactly mean he'd done or showed something wrong. Oh. Silly him.
It was after a moment when Cedric shrugged the 'silly' thought away (yes, he decided the thought itself was silly. Totally not him). And so he walked into the room, his hands on his pockets, and eyes glancing round the room casually. Then his gaze fell upon the woman. "Hello ma'am," he greeted, and then noticed Treyen... looking a bit gloomy unlike his usual self. He walked toward Trey, flopped down on the seat beside him, and offered, "Hey Trey. How's life treatin' you?" For it was treating him... a bit too wickedly. Renée started to wonder if she was missing something as it seemed yet another student was paused just outside of the door. As far as she knew she hadn't made anyone think she was scary yet. Not among the students, at least (except for a select few), and even the other staff hadn't seemed to snub her. But she smiled as the person entered, and proved to be the other boy she'd spoken to at the party over the summer. That could explain it. "Good morning," she replied as he made his way to a seat near Mr Lockhart. At least people didn't seem to be confused about the concept of making themselves comfortable before the lesson began.
Although as she went back to her idle perusal of the classroom, her gaze stopped momentarily at a seemingly blank spot on the wall. Hmm, she thought again. That was definitely interesting, but she decided to let things spool out how they would. No need to make things worse before they started. Quote:

Rolling her shoulders, Evelyn eyed the room as she sat down in a random seat near the back. This may have been Josh's favorite class, but she had a tendency of falling asleep in it. Obviously, she wasn't going to fall asleep in the front. Seriously, she wasn't a Hufflepuff.
Pausing for a moment as she got out her notebook and quill, it took her a moment to realize that... MEEP! "Good...good day, Professor." she said, stumbling to stand up from her seat to say hello to the professor and making a tiny bit of ruckus. Eh, she could blame it on seeing a spider or something. Merlin, she had forgotten to greet the Professor in potions and Lafay looked like she was going to hex her. Who knew what this professor would do!
What...was her name anyways... And Renée's contemplation of mysterious things faltered as she ehard a faint huff from outside the classroom, and she watched as another Slytherin girl made her way in and dropped into a seat near the back. ironically, it seemed, not far from where she'd been looking before, but she wasn't about to say anything. Her eyes widened in surprise, however, as the girl seemed to jump out of her seat suddenly, although they returned to normal soon after. "Bishop," she supplied with a smile, reading the question into the words. "Good morning to you as well. Are you quite alright . . .?" Yes, she really needed to learn the students' names. Without getting them directly from their heads, as that was rude. Most of the time. Quote:

Perhaps things would be interesting and she wouldn't fall asleep and drool on her desk or something. HOPEFULLY. Renée's attention to the Slytherin girl shifted as another girl made her way into the room. Another girl who seemed a bit grumpy, but she was hoping it wasn't the subject making her that way. She hoped it wouldn't be too confusing, as it was better for her when people had fun with Divination. They seemed to learn better that way, at least. "Good morning to you as well," she replied with a smile for the girl, inclining her head as she had been given a slight bow. Seat choice was completely up to the students. She didn't mind where they wanted to sit. It told a lot about the student, though.
She wasn't going to make too many assumptions, though. Or focus on her earlier suspicion. That only led to problems, and she wanted to try and avoid those as long as she could.
