Well it’s pretty boring really. You learn English…like reading and writing and stuff. Then maths with adding and subtracting and then when you get to around our age they throw in this thing called Algebra which includes letters as well as numbers.”
Alice had never gotten on with maths, in fact she was considering on skipping Arithmancy classes if she didn’t get on with the first lesson she went to. Numbers just weren’t her thing. “And then the rest of the subjects are just different versions of the ones we have here. Science where you learn about mixing different chemicals instead of rats tails and eye of newt or whatever we will be using here.History is muggle history instead of magic. You learn Art which is just painting and drawing and Physical education which is like our flying lessons only they play things like football and basketball. Erm…oh and when you get to the age we are you learn different Languages from around the world as well.”
"Why would they continue to teach you math? I mean I learned all of my math from primary school. And to be honest the only other math I have to do is arithmancy, but that is barely math.
"English too? I can read and write. What else can their possible be to learn? We do writing in reading in almost every class why add another on?
"And football....?" Selina understood the muggle customs, her grandfather being one, but they always seemed very odd to her. She knew what almost every contraption was but growing up with magic she found them all pointless, but that was her uprising.
