However upset, irritated, or angry she was that her clothes were wet, the Slytherin quickly grabbed her wood board and book before...scooting her chair away from the table a bit so water didn't keep dripping on everything.

Fail. Epically.

Heaving a sigh, Evelyn pointed her wand at the board, the book underneath it, and quickly thought up a rune to try. Thurisaz, right? Which was a weird P looking symbol. Still, she would have rather have done this without magic surprisingly.

"Intaligo thurisaz thurisaz thurisaz..." she started in an almost quiet voice, concentrating more on the rune and the carving then anything else at the moment. She'd be lying if she said she wasn't keeping her ears open or sense of smell on the lookout for any screaming of fire or smell of burning wood. Which would mean there was another fire in the room which meant...PRETTY FIRE!

Adjusting her glasses/goggles/eye wear with her left hand as she continued to mutter the rune under her breath and cut with the wand in her right hand, the Slytherin finally stopped after a few more moments to inspect her carving.

Well...

It was totally brilliant of course. Just kinda hard to see. It was still in the shape of the Thurisaz rune, thank Merlin. She was kinda nervous it'd turn out like the Wunjo rune.
