Charisa bit back on revealing the sting of the air against the cut. Turning her finger around, she inspected it, hoping that it would be alright. She looked up at Sova, who had flown off after biting her and landed on a rafter nearby. "Bad owl! Bad!" she said, pointing accusingly at the tawny, unable to get a grip on the fact that, after all, Sova was only an owl.

Turning her attention back to Raven, Charisa nodded and pinched her bitten finger with her other hand. The pressure would help, but she could have done with a Band-Aid at the moment. "Really? They always do that?" she said, fascination mingling with annoyance in her voice. "I was hoping I had a good owl. The kind that didn't bite their masters." She let a short laugh tumble from her mouth at that. But it dripped with sarcasm.
