Something rebounded off the wall behind him and Jim twisted sideways, bringing his wand up and timing a quick, rubbery looking shield, which a jinx rebounded off, heading back to Lexi with its own power and the added momentum of the rebound.
He'd sort of forgotten the presence of the headmaster since the man's attention was now on other kids and no longer directly on them.
"
Improved it, I think. Thanks for that," she said in a hiss. Antlers on her perfect little head... not cool. "
Keeping being... whatever this is and I will consider running you through with them, James!" she said in a warning tone. She was getting angry and James Wilkes was about to taste her wrath.
Or.
She was just going to walk away. He was NOT helping her. She wasn't blowing off any steam... she was actually getting more peeved. Sighs.
Ohhh what was THAT shield? Lexi had her shield still locked in place but she watched as the spell rebounded and head right back at her. When it hit her shield she was driven back several paces and the concentration it took to hold her shield in place made her pant a little.
Dropping her shield for a moment she considered Jim and sighed. Her frustration was clearly etched on her face. "
Nice. That was nice. Are you going to help me though?" she said in a soft tone as she lowered her wand and actually stepped closer to him so as not to, Merlin forbid!, let the Headmaster hear.
