Tapping her wand against her chin, since the gloves made twirling difficult, she watched him for a brief moment before returning to her rune. There was no way she could remove the curves in the letter now, but she could at least finish the rune.

Sabel paused in lowering his wand to the wood again, considering her words. "I suppose, that's very true." That only brought up the question of why such an incorporation wasn't possible and why everyone couldn't have the tolerance for magic that would allow wizards and witches to live openly with muggles. He understood the reasoning why the secrecy was important, but it was still disheartening at times. The thoughts only led him down the road of memory back to the Quibbler and the news in it. For a long moment he sat there still and silent, staring distantly at the rune. It wasn't his concern, even if there was anything to worry about, as most people would tell him, but he couldn't help but to think and worry about it.

It took him a moment to return movement to his hand and start carving the wood again. This time, with the more focussed thoughts and the lack of the tune and smiles, the rune was a lot more jagged, conflicting with the smooth lines he had originally started off with. It was beginning to look more and more like two images imposed on one another, and he wasn't liking it that much anymore.
