Alex smiled as Preston passed the chocolates to him. Even though he'd just had a rather large dinner, he couldn't say no to chocolate! Especially from the Head of House. That would be just plain rude. "Thanks!" he said, taking a piece and popping it in his mouth. Mmmmmm yummy!
"Well, I just wanted to stop by and introduce myself," he explained after he finished his chocolate. "I'm Alex Greingoth and I'm a first year Hufflepuff, and I'm really excited to be sorted in your house!" he added. Excited was an understatement for sure. "And, well, since you're the nurse I had a few questions about the...erm...hospital," he added. Yes, he needed to be prepared before he started wandering about the castle, where there were plenty of opportunities to hurt himself.
