Did he not want to jinx the relationship? Well yeah, that was kind of true. The end of him and Lexi had been horrible, and he really didn't want to go through that again. Okay so she knew that she wasn't the smartest tool in the shed but Mia could certainly take a hint and knew when she was butting in on something that wasn't any of her business.
Placing her finger to her lips, she ran it across her mouth as though she was zipping her lips closed. "Gotcha. No more questions." For now anyway. Mia knew that she wouldn't be able to help herself and she would bombard him later with more questions. But he didn't need to know that.
And bugger!!
It was his turn to be nosy. Mia shrugged her shoulders nonchalantly. "We're good, I guess. Haven't seen him since the summer holidays and I won't be seeing him until Christmas." Which really sucked a lot.
