Renée smiled as Miss Moonfield, or Vadoma, as she reminded herself the girl had asked to be called, complimented the set. Even as it seemed she'd only recognized their age and quality, not the story behind them. That was okay, as it wasn't like she expected her students to know everything. Not the way she did, often. Divination skill always helped, though. She leaned forward again as it seemed the girl produced a set of her own. "Ah, yes. Of course," she said with a nod, perusing the deck. "Connections like that are key to really understanding the deck. Understanding the energies the cards hold," she added, going back to her previous upright position. "I collect sets, actually. The one I showed you was just a particular favorite of mine. Not even just Tarot , but the whole concept is fascinating." Any sort of oracular cards had their own stories to tell, and she'd found they could be extremely different given the set. "You should continue to keep them safe, but I imagine you don't need me telling you that." She smiled again. Miss Vadoma seemed to really have a grasp on the idea, but then that went to show for her training.
Preston was another interesting one, and she glanced at the boy with another smile as he spoke up again. That grin was hard not to respond to, anyway. "Why thank you. I always like knowing somebody has faith in me," she said, lightly crossing her arms as Bowie came over to curl himself up on his bed by her feet. She laughed softly at the question she was posed, however, tilting her head slightly as she contemplated both her answer and the boy who had asked. It seemed even with the faith, tough questions were still possible. "Hmm, I think the interpretations. I mean, you can see the pretty pictures, the symbols, but actually being able to figure out what they mean," she finally said. Divination wasn't all gorgeously decorated cards, crystal balls and the like. It took some thought, and that was a skill she liked. Not to mention it was always interesting separating the interpretations from everything else she might be privy to.
Vadoma smiled, "If you don't mind me asking, professor, but why is that particular set of cards one of your favorites?" Vadoma always like to know why they were someones favorites. Vadoma's family had many sets of cards but she had chosen these ones to have for her very own because they were the oldest, more people had touched them. She loved it when loving and new people touched her cards.
"I love tarot, it's one of my favorite forms of divination, but then again it's not the only thing I have been learning." Vadoma smiled and removed a small pouch on a string that was around her neck and she opened it to reveal an antique rune set, "Now I know this would be of more interest to the ancient runes professor, however I use these more for their divination aspect." Vadoma smiled. She preferred to keep her Tarot cards and runes with her to soak up her good energies.
