Eino was very curious to understand how the boy came to such questions. How would a cactus crawl if it didn't have arms and legs? Or better yet, disappear if it isn't a magical being. "It collects dew." Eino said plainly, "magical dew," He added. Among the multiple things Eino didn't understand, one of them was the boy's tendency to believe the cactus should let itself out of its pot and walk about the castle. "Actually," Eino began addressing the boy's last remark "no place has cacti like Faustus." He should know, he created it.
Derian blinked. He had just registered that this person (who talked to a cactus) probably thought he was crazy, at least that's what his tone conveyed. Derian had to remind himself that he was no longer in the muggle world, and that if wizards wanted to be perfectly eccentric, then that was their business. He nodded, hopefully looking like the other's comment about magical dew made everything else click.
"
Well, at any rate, the name's Derian. Sorry I've been so amazed by... Faustus, you said? Again, I've just never seen such a thought provoking plant." He grinned sheepishly and ran a hand through his hair, "
What's your name?"
