Glancing at the girl as she petted Bowie, she nodded at the initial explanation. "Ah," she replied, before her attention went back to the boy. And smiling as he made his way to a chair.

"Well, it's nice to meet you, Preston Turner. I'm Professor Bishop," she said gently and in a friendly tone. As far as she remembered, there hadn't been any official introductions during the feast, beyond her conversation with Jared and the incident with Miss Stone and Mr Lockhart. So it was possible he didn't know her name yet. And she sent him a little nod as he continued speaking, folding her hands on her desk to keep from idly fidgeting. "I hope I don't let you down, then. It's good to know." Back to that comment about her filling Professor Reynolds's shoes, in a way. She did hope the students enjoyed her lessons, once they began.

Then she turned back to Vadoma as the girl abandoned the petting to continue her explanation and earned a quite pathetic look from Bowie, handily keeping up with the words as they spilled out of the girl. "I see," she said with a nod. "As a matter of fact, I am familiar with the Romani. I spent some time with them years ago," she continued. There had been no way she wasn't about to explore that angle while she'd been traveling, and the people had been rather helpful to her. Swiveling in her chair, she slid over to the shelves behind it and took a small box down before returning to the desk and heading over to the girl. "I'd imagine you're familiar with these then," she said, opening the box to show one of her prized possessions, an antique set of Tarot cards that had been a gift after her visit. "While I can't assure that you won't find some of the things I include in my lessons simplistic, since I do have to make it so everyone understands, you can always feel free to explore slightly more advanced aspects. Try to keep with the topic under discussion, though, and always run it by me first," she recommended, closing the box again and setting it on her desk carefully before leaning against it. "Either one of you should always feel free to speak with me if you have concerns. I'm always open to student suggestions," she concluded, giving them both a smile. Her door was always open.
Vadoma smiled when she saw the antique Tarot cards, "What a lovely set those are! I have my own with me..." Vadoma smiled and pulled out her tarot cards which were wrapped in silk she unraveled the silk and produced them, "These have been in my family for a very long time... they are rather old but we keep them in excellent condition." Vadoma smiled showing the professor the Cards.
SPOILER!!: someofthecards

"A fairly standard deck design I am sure you are familiar with." Vadoma gazed on her cards with love, people in her family had touched them for many many years and she could almost feel their positive energies radiating from the cards.
