no quotage, but you're both in here. *nods* Shoe!Girl │ Rebel Ravie │ Confundus Queen │ RP Addict As the two students filed in, Renée couldn't help but raise an eyebrow momentarily as she noticed the girl wasn't wearing any shoes. She couldn't imagine that was very warm, given the stone floors and everything, even as she didn't really mind it. Especially as at least she had a rug on the floor. She worried about her students, but in the same respect, she knew they had their idiosyncracies. The jingling bangles were another thing, however, as they attracted the attention of Bowie. The puppy broke free from her restraining foot and started bouncing toward the girl animatedly, occasional quiet yips escaping as he was noticed and a slight tilted head glance at the other newcomer as he noticed him as well.
"Of course," she said, waving off the apology. "No offense taken, Miss Moonfield. Vadoma," she added, a bit of a curious look in her dark eyes. "You're welcome to pet Bowie. He loves the attention." Unlike Anastasia in the corner. As far as she could tell, the phoenix was asleep, or at least pretending to be. "That's an interesting name you've given yourself, by the way. Your given name is beautiful on it's own," she said then, conversationally. It seemed the girl was a bit torn about the issue. Wanting to tell the story, but also not, and Renée felt like humoring her.
While that conversation was paused for the moment, she turned to look at the Hufflepuff boy. And smiled as she saw him simply standing there goofily and extremely quietly. "Feel free to make yourself comfortable, Mr . . .?," she said to him, indicating the waiting chairs with a glance as she headed over to her own desk chair and made herself comfortable. Might as well, as she had a feeling she was in for a story or two. At least from Miss Moonfield, if not from the Hufflepuff. Neither one had really said the reason for their visit, unless it was a simple case of getting to know the new professors.
