She smiled to herself as Alex ran his hand through his hair and scratched his neck. Nervous? He'd ask again in a month. "I'll be waiting, then." she said. Good, now he'd have to see her again. Not that Ellie thought he'd just walk away and never come back. Well she certainly hoped not...

Ellie nodded while Alex explained to her. She could only imagine how hard it would be to leave her family (assuming her family actually had a loving relationship) who lived in a completely different continent for a whole school year. "I'm sorry... That must be really hard for you." She tried sympathizing, but it was hard. Alex's story was completely different than hers. She frowned. And the city. She'd never been to a big city before. Besides Muggle London, but that was old news to her. "I wonder what it's like in America." She said dreamily. "All the tall buildings, the city lights, people everywhere... Oh, the Statue of Liberty, too. Of course, that's only what I've seen in pictures." Oh, and the hotdog stands everywhere, right...? Or were those just in movies...

Though she was very interested in their conversation, it was the next part Alex said that caught her by surprise. I'm having too much fun right where I am talking to you. And at the moment I wouldn't have it any other way. It took a second for Ellie to absorb that. A cute boy, but not just any cute boy, the cute boy, just told her that he was having fun talking to her and that he wouldn't have it any other way...! Wow, Ellie could be such a sap sometimes. Oh, right. Staring is rude, Ellie, say something. Her face immediatley flushed."Oh." Ah yes, so profound. She looked up at his hazel eyes. His green Slytherin robes really brought out the green in them ~~and it was hard not to stare~~. "I wouldn't have it any other way either." She said with a smile. And it was true. She would have liked to say more, but she couldn't. She didn't know what to say. Alex had left her speechless once again.

Alex chuckled and shrugged. "Aw, it's alright if you want to go around biting people you definitely should." he winked. "Really don't hold back." she should start nomming. Hm, who should she eat? Oh wait, these thoughts were so weird and worse than that; they were soo creepy! He actually kind of scared himself...

She called him a dog... Erm, was that a good thing? Did she think of him as her pet or did he smell bad perhaps? Nah, of course he didn't smell bad it must be the hair. His ruffled hair yes that had to be it. Or perhaps people just randomly said that to people. Whatever she meant he decided to just stand there and grin like a mad man. Ooh then she got a shifty expression, so very shifty. He smirked at her when she said that she liked his idea of sneaking out. "Ah you do now? It's a date then?" he winked. People said that, called meetings with their friends date, this didn't necessarily mean something unless Ellie took it like that then yes he meant it like that. Heh, sneaky.

"No don't be sorry." he smiled, never did he want her sorry for anything. He chuckled when she got a dreamy expression on her face, that was just so ~~cute~~ um... ~~cute~~ oh whatever it was cute. Oh yes he'd thought it. "Well I told you I'll take you there someday. So you can see for yourself." he winked. Wouldn't it be so amazing to show Ellie around New York? The answer would be yes, yes it would be totally amazing.

Did she stare? Yes she did, he must have said something wrong. He immediatly started to search his brain for the last thing he'd said to her, nope nothing was found in there. Well of course things were found in his brain ~~kind of... Onwards!~~ but not the right things. Then she blushed, aw he loved when she blushed. What to do except squishing her into a hug? Smiling. Yeah smiling always worked. "Ah really? Well that's good then." he smirked. So they both were standing where they wanted to and they both wouldn't want it any other way? This was sounding good to Alex' ears.
